nPower Scheduler™ Release 3.0.0: A New Foundation for Enterprise-Scale Additive Manufacturing
nPower Technologies is pleased to announce the release of nPower Scheduler™ Release 3.0.0, a landmark update that fundamentally expands the platform’s architecture to support multi-site enterprise deployments, flexible data integration, and a new generation of data management tools.
This release extends the platform’s reach by giving manufacturers the infrastructure to scale across facilities, enhance data connectivity, and gain greater insight into the production floor.
Multiple Schedulers: One Platform, Every Facility
The headline capability of Release 3.0.0 is the ability to run multiple schedulers within a single installation, all accessed through one web URL.
This makes true multi-site deployment a reality. Executive leadership can view scheduling results across every facility from one interface, while each scheduler maintains its own independent settings, data sources, and write-back configurations.
Production schedules can run simultaneously or at different intervals. Each scheduler can also be configured with different settings, making it an ideal environment for evaluating “What If” scenarios without disrupting live production.
Flexible Data Integration
Prior releases of nPower Scheduler mapped to a single data source, either an ERP system or spreadsheets. Release 3.0.0 removes the constraint of a single data source and allows data to come from multiple sources simultaneously.
Each scheduler is independently mapped to its own data origin, whether that is one ERP, multiple ERPs, Excel files, or any combination. Non-mandatory fields no longer need to be mapped at all, reducing setup overhead and giving implementation teams far more flexibility when connecting nPower to complex data environments.
nPower Maintenance Screens: Manage Data Where It Lives
One of the most practical additions in Release 3.0.0 is the introduction of native data maintenance screens directly within the nPower application.
Users may choose to manage scheduling inputs from their ERP, within nPower, or both, depending on where it is easiest and makes the most sense to maintain that data. And it is not an all-or-nothing proposition.
Take Work Centers, for example. Name, Description, and Hours of Operation may be best managed by an ERP system. But batching parameters like Batch Type, Max Batch Size, and Batch Hold Time, which no discrete ERP system handles, are best maintained inside nPower.
Recommended Print Builds: Filterable by AM Technology
Building on its core additive manufacturing intelligence, the Recommended Print Builds view can now be filtered by printer technology.
This gives build technicians faster access to the scheduled batches relevant to their specific equipment and materials, helping teams focus on the work that applies directly to their production environment.
Expanded User Management and Security
Release 3.0.0 introduces a significantly more robust user management framework, giving administrators precise control over who can see and do what across the platform.
Role-based permissions can now be configured at the individual scheduler level. This means a planner in Minnesota can be granted full access to that facility’s scheduling data while being restricted from viewing or editing work in Texas or New Hampshire.
Permissions span administrative actions, application interactions, maintenance editing, and scheduler management. All are configurable per user and per scheduler setting.
From Single-Site Solution to Enterprise Platform
“Release 3.0.0 is the infrastructure release that enterprise additive manufacturers have been waiting for,” said David Bennett, Chief Product Officer at nPower Technologies. “The ability to run multiple schedulers from a single installation, each with its own data sources, settings, and permissions, means executives can finally view and manage production scheduling at each of the company’s facilities. That’s a meaningful shift in operations management. We built 3.0 so our customers can scale. What follows builds on that.”
